RUNWAY ETIQUETTE: THE DO’s AND DON’TS
In the fashion world, September is the first month of the year. This is where you will see a lot of Fashion Week in major cities worldwide. Plus, September is the month when major fashion magazines will release their grand covers and issues.
Some of you might be excited to attend the fashion week and in order to prepare for this year’s fashion frenzy, whether it’s your first Fashion Show or if you’re a seasoned pro, there are do’s and don’ts of the runway one should adhere to.
WEAR SOMETHING NICE AND FASHIONABLE
It’s not required to wear an outfit by a designer whose show you are attending. So when you plan your outfit for the show, make sure you wear something you also feel great wearing. And unless you’ll be grazing the magazines next to influencers and fashion icons, it’s not a terrible idea to wear fashionable shoes which will save you after hours of walking and standing.
DON’T WEARING ANYTHING THAT CAN BLOCK THE VIEW
We understand that it is Fashion Week and you want to take the chance to make a statement. But before you go in full made up couture with a wide statement hat fit for a diva, please be mindful of your fellow fashion peers. The hat might block the view for someone sitting just behind you.
SIT IN THE SEAT ASSIGNED FOR YOU
A fashion show is like a big dinner party and you might want to swap seats to sit next to a familiar face you just ran into – but that’s just rude. Make sure you stay in the assigned seat reserved to you in order to not mess the entire seat plan.
MIND YOUR CARRY-ON
Mind the size of your bag! This is not the perfect time for you to carry a Gucci with the size of a luggage. By placing a large bag in front of your seat, you might end up making people trip over.
HAVE FUN!
This is a great opportunity to mingle with fellow fashionistas, indulge in a bit of celebrity spotting and of course get to see the new Resort Collection.
